Electricity comes in two main forms which are Alternating Current (AC) and Direct Current (DC).

AC is what is distributed by the national grid and is so called because the "direction" of the current changes - through zero - every 50 seconds (or 60 seconds depending on where you live).

In general DC power is the type of power which we deal with at Simply Power Supply. Most indutrial controls and processes will employ a DC voltage, often 12Vdc or 24Vdc, and almost all telecoms systems work on -48Vdc. We also have a range of units which suit the eletricity generation and oil & gas exploration industries which are 110Vdc and 220Vdc.

If you have a DC voltage application and need some advice then why not get in touch with us - we would be happy to help you in any way we can
