Battery chargers are part of our core range at Simply Power Supplies. In the main we offer chargers for lead-acid (or sealed lead-acid) batteries, although we are able to offer solutions for a range of other batteries.
There are a few things whihc you will need to know before you buy a battery charger, the first is obviosly what voltage you need. Normally you will select one by the nominal voltage of the batteries which you are charging, this can be 12v, 24v, 36v, 60v, 110v or even 220v, although the actual DC output of the battery charger will be higher than this.
The next important decision is to ensure that you get the right size of charger, this can be determined by looking at the capacity of the batteries which you are charging (in Ah - Ampere Hours) and dividing this by the recharge time which yu require (this would normally be about 8-12 hours). If therefore you have a battery bank of say 110Ah and you have 10 Hours to charge them, then you would need a charger of about 11A, although it is always best to add a little to this to allow for efficiencies.
If you still have questions about which is the best charger for your application, then please contact us and we will be happy to chat it through with you to get you the very best solution.
