Single to 3 Phase Converter

A static single to 3-phase converter and a rotary single to three-phase converter are two different technologies used to convert single-phase electrical power to 3PH power, but they operate in distinct ways.

Static Single Phase to Three-Phase Converter: Static converters use sets of capacitors, to create a synthetic three-phase output from a single-phase input. They should be used in applications where the motor does not start and stop frequently or where the motor changes speed.

Rotary Single Phase to Three-Phase Converter: Rotary converters utilise a motor or rotary transformer to produce the third phase. It still employs the same capacitors as a static converter, however, it produces a more balanced 3PH and can cope better with chnaging loads.
